The Yanerbie Sand Dunes, located just west of Streaky Bay, are a beautiful natural playground of rolling white sands that stretch all the way to the ocean.

With dramatic shapes and ever-shifting patterns, the dunes are a personal favourite. The road in can be a little confusing but once you find the route, you can drive your car all the way into the base of the dunes. We didn't have any issues getting our 2WD kombi in there, although there were a few soft spots!

You can do some activities if you wish like sandboarding, 4WD adventures, and photography. With sweeping coastal views and soft, powdery sand, Yanerbie is the perfect mix of adventure and serenity, a must-visit in my opinion for anyone exploring the rugged beauty of the west coast!
