In Palermo, it is a must to visit the three big markets of the city: the Vucciria, the Mercato del Capo and Ballarò. Originally they were real markets where you could buy and sell all kinds of things, especially food. Over time they have changed face and have become more of a place where you can eat or buy food, even if Ballarò is still the most authentic one, where you can still buy tomato juice, Sicilian olives, spices, fish and much more.
