It is located in the central Greek region of Aetolia-Acarnania, southeast of Agrinio and northwest of Nafpaktos.

Beautiful woodlands with maples, pines, and other trees surround the lake. More than 200 bird species can be found in the lake and its surroundings. It’s also an excellent camping location for a longer stay.
