About Yala Snow Mountain Sightseeing Platform

When I say 'hidden gem' - this definitely fits the bill.. So much so in fact that the location on this map is an approximate location because neither this app, nor Google can actually find it... But more on that later.

While the approximate location is at the end of the road up the mountain - it's really the whole pathway that is mindblowingly impressive.

As you snake up along the road you'll pass not one, but two high altitude lakes offering reflections of the majestic mountains above.

Then, at the end of the road, you'll reach a set of stairs taking you up the final 100m of altitude or so and then, straight in front of you you'll see one of the country's most famous mountains up close and personal.

Enjoy the time hiking along the sides of the platform but be careful - the altitude can affect everyone.

Getting to Yala Sightseeing Platform (云绕亚拉·亚拉雪山观景台):

Ok, this is the part where I hope you use apple maps...

If you do, then great, you can put "Yala Snow Mountain Sightseeing Platform" into the search bar and get the road right there!

If not... then this could get complex..
So, start facing the entry to the Maya Dasi temple and turn left before immediately turning right onto what is a small concrete road.

Follow that behind the temple and turn left so that you are following the river. That road will eventually lead to a kind of T-junction near a barrier. From there turn right under the barrier and then follow the road to the first lake and then the second lake.

Follow the road right up the mountain until you reach a small parking lot and yeah, you've reached the platform!

Please note that the roads here being called roads is a stretch so an SUV is definitely recommended.
