The town has been restored and is a good example of Tujia architecture.

Spend some time exploring the back alleys of the restored ancient streets and wander behind the waterfall for a unique experience.

If you've got some free time, combine a trip to Furong with Zhangjiajie, Tianmenshan, Dehang and Fenghuang for the perfect Hunan escape.

Getting to Furong Ancient Town

This whole area of Hunan is great because it is just so accessbile.

The town is just a stop or two away from Zhangjiajie on the high-speed rail network and sits very near to both Dehang and Fenghuang towns.
