A crystal-clear lake made from the melting snow off the top of the snow mountains above, Mugecuo is often either a person's first taste of the mountain breeze on their trip, or the last, before returning to Chengdu.

Mugecuo, also known as Kangding Love Song Scenic Area, is a 'developed for tourists' scenic area that takes advantage of the stunning lakes and small waterfalls created by the landscape to offer a more comfortable experience than the wilder areas out in the mountains.

As part of this, the scenic area also has a hot spring area - great for a spot of relaxation before the cold altitude air hits.
