Datong Tulin is a small stone forest carved out by ancient rivers just out of town.

The cliffs may not be so grand as some of the spots up in Xinjiang, they make for a good photography spot, especially for the FPV pilots among you.

How to get there:

Datong Tulin is about 40 minutes out from the ancient town.

The spot is fairly small and isn't exactly on most tourist guides so it's definitely one I'd say prepare to rent a car for/ or use the driver from the hanging temple - seeing as it's on the same road.
