Zwolle is a city in the province of Overijssel in the east. It is located on the IJssel river, and is the capital of the municipality of Zwolle. Known for its historic city center, which is a popular tourist destination.

Zwolle is also home to several universities and museums, as well as a vibrant nightlife. Although the city has much to offer, in regards to sightseeing, shopping and restaurants, I really like the more quaint towns and villages nearby too. Like Hattem for example, for its cute town squares, terraces and quaint Dutch facades.
