Called the "Pearls of the Tien Shan" for good reason: three alpine lakes surrounded by spruce forests and mountains that don't look real. The first lake is the easiest to reach and already stunning. You can rent a paddle boat, grab food at the café with a panoramic view, or hike up to the second and third lakes for even better scenery.

About 4-5 hours from Almaty: book a group or private tour, public transport is very limited. Bring layers, it gets cold even in summer. Best combined with Kaindy Lake and Charyn Canyon for a full day or two-day trip.
