This is a pedestrian-only street, but I wouldn’t recommend coming here just for this spot alone.

If you want a really good walk through the city, this route is worth it. Along the way, you’ll see plenty of local performers from musicians to traditional dancers, showcasing local culture, and you’ll also find handmade souvenirs.

Start at the Abay Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and walk down Panfilov Street. You’ll end up at Arbat, making it a perfect route to explore the city on foot.
