Doi Inthanon National Park is one of the prettiest national parks in Thailand absolutely worth seeing due to it's incredible beauty, some of the prettiest waterfalls in the country and also due to the fact that the highest peak in Thailand, Doi Inthanon Mountain - is here!

GET HERE:
The closest big city is Chiang Mai which is 1.5 hours away. There is no public transport either to the national park or within the national park, so you need to get there yourself through rental scooter/car, hiring a driver or through joining a tour (there's plenty).

A day trip is fine but you probably won’t have time to see/do all of the attractions unless you leave super super early in the morning from Chiang Mai, so stay overnight in the national park village if you want to make sure you get to see everything:

WHAT TO SEE/DO:
🌿Pha Dok Siew Hike AND/OR:
🌿Kew Mae Pan Trail
🛕Royal Twin Pagodas
💦Wachirathan Waterfall
⛰️Doi Inthanon Peak
🌿Ang Ka Nature Trail
💦Mae Ya Waterfall
🏜️Pha Chor Canyon

You can also see coffee grow in the national park and try fresh local coffee in one of the Karen villages (the Pha Dok Siew Hike ends in a Karen village and they give you free locally grown coffee and tea to try)!

Around the Doi Inthanon Summit you might be able to spot wild orchids growing in the trees, as well as on the Kew Mae Pan Trail!

*I have made separate guides for all of the above except for the Kew Mae Pan Trail and Pha Chor Canyon as we unfortunately didn't get to see them*

💶 Visiting Doi Inthanon National Park is quite pricey, but worth it:
300 thb entry to the national park
200 thb for each of the two hikes
100 thb to see the pagodas

❗️Bring enough cash as there’s no ATMs inside the park

❗️Doi Inthanon National Park has coldish weather all year round, usually hovering around 10-15°C, so make sure you pack a coat and long trousers.

It’s quite a popular national park and you will probably not be alone unless you go first thing to each attraction, but it's still 100% worth it! It is absolutely stunning there. 🙏🏼
