Bottle Beach Viewpoint in Koh Phangan is one of the best, if not the best, viewpoints on the island! Getting there is fun, although a bit of an adventure! Here is what to do:

1️⃣ Search ”Bottle Beach Scooter Parking” on Google maps. The road there is fine and there will be a place to leave your moped. If you don't feel comfortable driving a moped you can take a songthaew taxi, just be aware that they are VERY overpriced on the island, so if you want to explore places in Koh Phangan without breaking the bank you kind of need to drive a moped, or make a friend that does and join them on the back!

2️⃣ Once parked, continue down the now dirt road and follow the signs that will take you through a jungle path towards the viewpoint. The hike will take around 20 minutes and you’ll likely see wildlife on the way and LOTS of butterflies. 🦋 🥹

3️⃣ Scramble your way to the top of the rock and enjoy the amazing views!
‼️ When I say scramble I kind of mean it. 😅 I didn’t expect the last part of the hike to be so ”on edge” because I hadn’t seen it mentioned online anywhere. When you reach the viewpoint rock you first have to climb up onto it (there will be ropes to help) and then if you want to reach the final viewpoint you have to walk over the quite narrow rock ridge to the end, so be careful! We saw some people turn back. 
You don’t have to walk all the way out since you’ll get amazing views as soon as you’ve climbed up too, so you can stay there and then hike back down again. Make sure to stay safe!

I would not attempt the hike when it's been raining as the path might turn into mud and the rocks could become slippery! Since the last part to the final viewpoint is very narrow you want to make sure your grip is stable!

I put the age requirement as 6 or older considering the narrow rock climbing. If you come with young children make sure to keep them safe as you reach the rock.
