Wai Chaek Beach is a hidden gem located on the south coast of Koh Chang and is definitely the most picturesque beach on the island that otherwise mostly has okay-looking beaches great for a beach day but not super picturesque. This undeveloped beach offers a peaceful escape from the crowds, with stunning views and a secluded atmosphere. The beach is accessible only by riding down a rough dirt road consisting of steep hills, curves and loose sand for the last 20 minutes of the way. There is a barrier before the rough road starts that you just go around in the daytime, but there is NO access between 5 pm - 6 am for safety reasons. You definitely need to be confident on a moped to come here! The reward is amazingly worth it though. 🥹
The beach is completely natural. There are zero facilities so bring everything you need.
We came at 10 am and were the first to create footprints in the sand. The hour we spent there maybe 3-4 other couples showed up but it retained its peaceful and secluded feeling. An absolute paradise.
