Bondi Beach is Sydney's go-to spot for sun, sand, and good vibes. This iconic beach is a hotbed of activity, with surfers catching waves at sunrise, beachside bars buzzing at sunset, and top-notch cafes serving up delicious coffee, and don't forget to have an acai bowl!
Whether you're looking to relax on the golden sands or explore the vibrant social scene, Bondi has something for everyone, and I mean everyone! This is without a doubt the biggest tourist hotspot in Sydney. While it is perfect for tourists with lots of food and drink options, know it can pack in 30,000 people on a sunny day, so it isn't for those who don't like big crowds. There are also pretty strong rip currents here so be weary if not a strong swimmer if getting in the water! Walk over to the iconic Bondi Icebergs Swimming Club for a perfect picture. Pay a small fee to swim in the ocean pool, or choose to dine at their restaurant.
There is paid parking with a large open lot for visitors to the beach, but know it can fill up on busy days! Public transportation can be taken to/from Bondi Junction.
This is also the start of an amazing coastal walk that will take you along Sydney's coastline. More on that in another guide!
