Hvítárnesskáli Mountain Hut, owned by the Ferðafélag Íslands (The Iceland Touring Association, FÍ), is a charming and historic mountain hut built in 1930 with a turf roof. It can accommodate up to 30 people across two floors, offering bunk beds, a kitchen with basic amenities, and a cozy log-stove. Guests are required to clean up after themselves and take their trash with them. The hut provides stunning views and serves as a starting or ending point for hikes on the ancient Kjölur Hiking Trail.
