Heimaey Stave Church, also known as Stafkirkjan, is a replica of the Haltdalen stave church located in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland. Completed in 2000, it was a gift from Norway to Iceland to celebrate the millennium anniversary of Iceland's conversion to Christianity. The church was built using materials from various regions of Norway and features a gallery for extra strength against the stormy weather of Vestmannaeyjar. It even has a replica of the St Olav frontal altar piece from Nidaros Cathedral. Overall, it's a cool nod to history and a unique addition to the Icelandic landscape.
