What to Pack and Wear
Snowboard & Ski Wear
Brianna Walston
Breckenridge, CO, United States
Breckenridge’s high altitude means cold temps, strong sun, and fast-changing weather. Layers and waterproof gear are essential.

Clothing Essentials
Base Layer (Moisture-Wicking)
Thermal top (Fleece or merino wool. I prefer non-synthetic options but synthetic is typically more affordable)
Thermal leggings
Ski socks (tall, wool or performance blend. Avoid cotton)
Compression socks (This isn’t necessary but I find that at higher altitudes, this can help with overall comfort and reduced swelling)
Mid Layer (Insulation)
Fleece jacket or insulated pullover
Lightweight down or synthetic jacket
Outer Layer (Waterproof & Windproof)
Waterproof ski/snowboard jacket
Waterproof ski/snowboard pants or bibs
Insulated option if you run cold
Other
Waterproof gloves or mittens
