To truly understand Viterbo, you must understand its devotion to Santa Rosa.

Every September 3rd, 100 strong men (the Facchini) carry a glowing, 30-meter-high tower through the narrow dark streets.

This museum houses the models of these "Machinas" from past years. It is a tribute to an event so unique it has been recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. It’s a mix of engineering, religious passion, and sheer wonder.

It is often Free, but it's reccomended a small donation (always check seasonal opening hours).
