The Pinnacle Lookout is hands-down one of the most spectacular vantage points in Grampians National Park and an exhilarating hike that you'll never forget. It’s one of the most popular walks in the area, and after completing it, I totally get why. There are two main routes to reach the lookout: the easier 2.1-kilometer return trail from the Sundial Car Park, which is more family-friendly, and the more challenging 4.5-kilometer circuit trail from the Wonderland Car Park. I’d recommend starting from Wonderland Car Park if you're up for a bit more of a challenge, trust me, it’s worth it for the amazing experiences along the way.

The Wonderland route allows you to pass through the Grand Canyon Trail, though I saved that part for the way back down. This trail does have some steep and rocky sections, but I saw folks of all fitness levels managing it just fine. One of the coolest parts of this route is Silent Street, a narrow, rock-lined passage just before you reach the Pinnacle. It’s super scenic and perfect for a 10 out of 10 photo op as you hop between rocks.

As you hike through the diverse terrain, everything from rocky paths to lush greenery, you’ll get incredible glimpses of the surrounding valleys. When you finally reach the Pinnacle Lookout, you’re treated to breathtaking views of the Grampians landscape that make the hike totally worth it. The lookout itself is an awesome spot for photos, so have your camera ready. This hike is a fantastic way to get your heart pumping while soaking in some of the park’s most spectacular scenery. Just be sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water for the journey.
