Mount Conner Lookout is a great stop for those venturing through the Red Centre. Often overshadowed by its famous neighbour, Uluru, Mount Conner is actually three times larger in size, making it an impressive sight in its own right. Known affectionately as “Fool-a-ru,” it’s a common mix-up among tourists who mistake it for Uluru as they drive past.

The lookout provides a panoramic view of this colossal rock formation, showcasing its striking shape and the surrounding desert landscape. The wide, flat-topped mountain stands in stark contrast to the iconic monolith of Uluru, offering a unique perspective on the region's geological wonders. It's a fantastic stop to cap off a red-center road trip allowing you to appreciate the vastness and diversity of the landscape. Don't forget your camera for some fantastic photos and a great story to tell about the “Fool-a-ru” of the outback!
