Tip: Be prepared for an unmarked and rocky final section.

Yellowstone Teton, United States

Delta Lake is definitely one of the highlights in Grand Teton, but it is important to know that the route is not fully marked like a regular trail. When I did it, I mostly followed other hikers, especially near the final section.

The last part requires scrambling over large rocks, so take your time and be very careful. Rocks can shift or fall, especially if there are other hikers above you. Stay alert, wear good hiking shoes, and avoid rushing this section.

The hike to reach the lake can take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace, but the final stretch is the most challenging part. The views are absolutely beautiful, but this is not a casual walk, so make sure you feel comfortable with rocky terrain before adding it to your itinerary.
