Hundafoss is a beautiful waterfall hidden within Skaftafell Nature Reserve in Southeast Iceland. Even though Svartifoss gets most of the attention, Hundafoss is taller and offers a quiet break with fewer crowds. It is the first waterfall you encounter when hiking toward Svartifoss which makes it an ideal warm-up for the scenery ahead.

• You will see Hundafoss first from the east bank using the designated viewing platform
• For clearer and more open views continue a bit further to the west side of the canyon
• In summer, foliage can cover parts of the view so the west bank is usually best
