All Hallows-by-the-Tower is an ancient Anglican church in London, overlooking the Tower of London. While its exact founding date is debated, it has a rich history dating back to the Anglo-Saxon era. Surviving fires, bombings, and reconstructions, the church boasts a mix of architectural styles from different centuries. It's also known for its royal connections, with notable figures like Sir Thomas More and William Penn having ties to the church. Today, visitors can explore its crypt museum, admire its historic artifacts. This is totally free and if they are not too busy, they will give you a free guided tour that they offer most weekdays between 2pm and 4pm. It's recommended to try and arrive before 3.30pm so you don't miss out.
