Bovbjerg Fyr is another of Denmark's iconic flying sites you may have seen. It has a beautiful backdrop of the red lighthouse that glows in the evening sunset. An amazing site with great variety for a small area. I often used it as a base to fly south to Trans Kirke and north to Ferring. The variety of terrain on this 4 km stretch of coast is world class. From 5m grassy ridge lines to 30m vertical cliffs with everything in between. Bovbjerg has a lower grassy section that is helpful for launching full size wings or even a Mo on really strong days. It has a staircase and handrail that is fun to session.
Toilet available at the lighthouse. Bovbjerg is a lot busier than Trans Kirke during the day with tourists, it can get quite busy, but easy to fly north or south to get away from the public. One of my favorites and a must see!
