Cornwall’s food scene isn’t just about fish and chips — there’s a thriving world of plant-based eats waiting to be explored.
Quite a few family members are vegan so I’m always on the hunt for good food spots that cater to veganism so we can all enjoy food out together!
If I had to say my absolute go tos would be Sprout in Newquay, Cornish Bakery (pasty’s), Sabzi Deli and Rojano’s in Padstow! Those ones we keep going back too 🙌
Here are some of the places we’ve enjoyed in Cornwall 👇🏼
🌱 Fully Vegan Spots
The Cornish Vegan (Truro) – Cozy café serving seitan roasts, vegan mac & cheese, and Sunday roasts. Dog-friendly too.
Be Kind Vegan Coffee Caravan (Hayle) – Harbour pop-up offering indulgent toasties, cakes & seasonal specials, open Wed–Sun.
Vega (Tintagel) – Colourful bowls and wholesome plates with coastal views.
The Bean Inn (Carbis Bay) – Veggie restaurant with a fully vegan menu on request, tucked away just off the beach.
Sprout Health Foods (Newquay) – Wholefood café and refill shop with fresh lunches and smoothies.
This is such a great spot for stocking up on healthy household snacks! I’d also really recommend their cacao, which I hadn’t had before but is a healthier version of a hot choc!

🥗 Vegetarian Cafés with Vegan Menus
Potager Garden Kitchen (Falmouth area) – Greenhouse café with seasonal vegan brunches and garden views.
Roots (Perranporth) – Friendly café serving vegan breakfasts, smoothie bowls, and sweet treats.
Sunshine Café & Yoga (Penryn) – Plant-based bowls and juices in a light, dog-friendly café with yoga studio .
Sabzi (Falmouth, Newquay, Padstow and Truro) – Middle Eastern-inspired menu with standout vegan dishes.
One of my absolute favourites, they also offer non vegan salads! (But it’s all veggie)! The cakes are amazing, I love their cinnamon buns! And the Dahl…! My absolute go to for lunch/ an afternoon sweet treat!
Wilder Allotment Kitchen (Porthtowan) – Plant-based thali kitchen in an eco-park garden setting, open evenings Wed–Sat .

🍔 Mixed Menus with Great Vegan Options
Box & Barber (Newquay) – try the infamous tofu wrap; dog-friendly too.
Saspella (Falmouth) – Cozy café serving vegan toasties and treats.
I haven’t yet tried them - but apparently the donuts are insane! 🍩
Reuben’s Bagels (Falmouth) – Choose vegan fillings like tofu scramble and cream cheese.
Cornish Bakery (multiple locations) – Try the vegan curry pasty.
This is another go to for me! Always a good family option that keeps everyone happy - I’ll often chose the vegan curry one over the meat options!
Fal Falafel (Falmouth & pop-ups) – Street-food falafel wraps with fresh veg and hummus.
Café Rojano (Padstow) – Italian menu with vegan pizza and pasta options.
Another go to every time we go to Padstow, everyone is always very happy with their food! Vegan and non vegan pizzas are all amazing!
Boo Koos (Helston & Falmouth) – US-style diner with full vegan burger menu and shakes.
Rosa (Newquay) – Trendy small plates with vegan dips and mains.
Really great options here & you can play mini golf ⛳️ super fun for a light hearted summer evening
Herd Burger (Newquay & Truro) – Plant-based patties made with Redefine Meat in two locations.
These are some of the best burgers in Cornwall and it is great that they do their entire menu vegan too!
45 Queen Street (Penzance) – Wine-bar bistro offering thoughtful vegan dishes.
📍 Bonus Tip:
Markets like Truro Farmers Market, St Ives Food Market, and Penzance pop-ups are great places to discover local vegan street food.
