Get up early, drive the bow valley parkway to look for wildlife early morning, then drive the Icefields Parkway to Peyto Lake to start your day at Sunrise, download the "guide along" app and listen to the driving tour. It's a beautiful location, and you will have the place nearly to yourselves.

The hike from the parking lot to the viewpoint is less than an mile round trip and only 344 ft of elevation gain, so it is fairly flat.

Peyto Lake is one of the most popular lakes to visit when in the Canadian Rockies, so get there early to avoid the crowds.
