Rawson Square, located in downtown Nassau, is a bustling hub for cruise ship passengers and visitors. Named after Sir Rawson W. Rawson, it features a bronze bust of Sir Milo Butler, the first Bahamian Governor General. The square also boasts a fountain dedicated to Sir Stafford Sands, the first Bahamian Minister of Tourism. During the Bahamas Quincentennial Celebrations in 1992, a monument was erected in honor of Christopher Columbus' landfall. It's a vibrant spot where history meets modern-day excitement in the heart of Nassau.
