Redoubt Lake is hidden deep in backcountry of Lake Louise and it's still very much a hidden gem.
While it can be done as a long day hike starting from Skoki Loop trailhead (almost 21 km round trip with more than 800 meters of elevation), it is best enjoyed if staying in one of the nearby backcountry campgrounds, so you can explore the area for multiple days as there are many other nearby lakes and trails. We personally stayed at Hidden Lake Campground for 2 nights and visited Hidden Lake, Ptarmigan Lake, Zigadenus Lake, Myosotis Lake, and Redoubt Lake during that trip. Permit is required for backcountry camping.
The whole area becomes absolute paradise during larch season and it is a lot quieter compared to other larch season hikes in Banff NP!
