Here are my tips to help you avoid getting sick while traveling in Bali:
Start taking probiotics 1–2 weeks before arriving and continue throughout your trip. I recommend Optibac.
Wash your hands regularly, especially after handling cash and before eating.
Be cautious with street food, particularly meats that may have been prepared earlier and left out for long periods.
Do NOT drink tap water in Bali.
Use bottled or filtered water even when brushing your teeth.
