Get ready to explore a world of art at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, or MIA, as we locals call it. The best part? General admission is always free, so you can wander through its incredible collection without spending a dime. You'll find everything from ancient mummies to famous European paintings, all housed in a beautiful, light-filled building that's a work of art in itself. There are also many great exhibitions that do have a fee, and a great little cafe on the main level where you can enjoy a latte, glass of wine or a bite to eat.
