Get ready for a heart-pumping climb that's well worth the effort. The main event here is the half-mile Riverview Trail, a steep staircase of nearly 600 steps that takes you 500 feet up to the top of Charity Bluff. It's a real workout, but the panoramic views of the Mississippi River Valley you're rewarded with at the summit are absolutely breathtaking. This small park is the perfect stop for a challenging but quick adventure directly off the highway, taking most people about an hour to an hour and a half to complete the round-trip hike.
