Step back in time as you wander through the Butter Slip, one of our most charming medieval alleyways. This covered stone passageway, built in 1616, connects St. Kieran's Street to the High Street and feels like a secret portal to Kilkenny's past. It gets its name from the butter vendors who once lined the lane on market days, and you can still feel the history in its worn stone steps and atmospheric lanterns.
