Heading out on the Dingle Sea Safari feels like swapping the road for a completely different view of the peninsula. From the moment the boat pulls away, I remember the excitement building as the engine picked up and the coastline started to slip past. Skimming over the water in a high-speed inflatable gives you a real sense of how wild this stretch of coast is.

What stood out most for me were the cliffs and sea caves, which look even more dramatic from the water. Getting close to the rock faces and weaving along the shoreline makes you notice details you’d never see from land. The run out toward the Blasket Islands adds a real sense of adventure, with the Atlantic opening up around you.

Wildlife spotting is a big part of the experience, and it keeps everyone alert. I was lucky enough to see dolphins racing alongside the boat and seals bobbing in the water, and depending on the season, there’s always the chance of puffins or even whales making an appearance. Those moments feel completely unscripted and unforgettable.

The Dingle Sea Safari is fast, refreshing, and a little bit wild, but it’s also well run and confidence-inspiring. For me, it was one of the best ways to appreciate just how rugged and alive the Dingle coastline really is.
