Right at the heart of the Mullet Peninsula, you'll find SOLAS, a wonderful new visitor centre that really brings our local stories to life. It’s a place where you can get a true feel for the history and heritage of Erris, from the crucial D-Day weather reports sent from our own Blacksod Lighthouse to tales of the historic offshore islands. The interactive exhibits are fantastic, and after you've spent an hour or so exploring, you can relax in the lovely café with some delicious homemade food.
