Cushendun is a peaceful, picture-perfect coastal village on the Causeway Coast, set at the mouth of the River Dun and backed by the rolling hills of Glendun,  one of the nine Glens of Antrim. Designed in the early 1900s in a distinctive Cornish style, its whitewashed cottages, small harbour, and quiet beach give the village a unique charm. Managed by the National Trust, Cushendun is an ideal stop for a gentle stroll, sea views, and a slower pace of travel.

For food, Mary McBride’s is the village’s best-known spot, once famed as one of the smallest bars in Ireland. This cosy pub serves traditional dishes and fresh local seafood. It’s the perfect place to warm up after exploring the beach or wandering through the village.
