Message from Kieran - Exploring Scotland

East Aquhorthies Stone Circle, located near Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, is a cool spot to check out one of Scotland's well-preserved recumbent stone circles. It's got this big stone lying down in the middle, flanked by two upright ones – a unique feature found only in the northeast of Scotland. The stones are all different colors, like pinkish porphyry and red jasper, adding some flair to the ancient vibes. You can wander around the circle any time of year and ponder what the heck it was originally used for.
