Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is a popular museum and art gallery located in Glasgow, Scotland. Managed by Glasgow Museums, it offers a diverse collection that includes natural history, Egyptian antiquities, design, architecture, medieval arms and armoury, Scottish history, and the history of Glasgow. The building also houses an impressive civic art collection with works from Scottish, European, African, Asian, and Oceanic artists. After a three-year refurbishment, Kelvingrove reopened in 2006 with a new layout showcasing over 8,000 objects across 22 galleries. Notable exhibits include Salvador Dali’s Christ of St John of the Cross and Sir Roger the Asian elephant, making it a must-visit free attraction for visitors.
