Message from Kieran - Exploring Scotland

Kelburn Castle, located near Fairlie, North Ayrshire, Scotland, is a historic house that has been continuously inhabited by the same family for centuries. Originally built in the thirteenth century and remodeled in the sixteenth century, the castle features a unique mix of architectural styles, including a French château-inspired north-west wing added in the 18th century. In 2007, the castle's concrete facing was transformed by Brazilian graffiti artists, creating a colorful and unconventional exterior. The estate is open to the public, offering various attractions such as play areas, a café, and tours of the castle. Additionally, Kelburn hosts a range of events throughout the year, including music festivals and weddings, making it a vibrant and lively destination for visitors.
