The Royal Opera House is one of the most recognizable buildings in Muscat. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to go myself, as it was temporarily closed during my visit - however, it’s consistently recommended as one of Muscat’s top cultural sites.

It’s modern, elegant, and very polished, yet still rooted in traditional Omani design. Clean lines, white stone, carved details... It fits right into Muscat’s architectural style!

Even if you’re not planning to attend a performance, I believe it's still worth stopping by to see the exterior of the place.

Notes

  • You can check performance schedules online if you’re interested in seeing a show.

  • Dress smart-casual if attending an event.
