Bidiyah is the last proper town before entering Wahiba Sands. This is your final opportunity to prepare before heading into the desert. Stock up on fuel, water, groceries, and deflate your tires here (see the “Desert Driving Tips” section for a full breakdown of how I prepared).
Once you leave Bidiyah, services disappear quickly and you are fully dependent on what you brought with you.
Desert Entry Point

This is where I entered the desert and began driving into Wahiba Sands.
Tire Deflation Spot
Before entering the sand, I stopped at a local tire shop to deflate my tires. This is the easiest and safest option if you’re unsure about doing it yourself.
Location of the shop I used:

It shouldn't cost more than 1 OMR.
Water refill spot

This is where I stocked up on water before entering the desert.
Food recommendation (before entering)
If you want a solid, affordable meal before heading into the desert, I highly recommend this Pakistani restaurant. Delicious and cheap!
