One of Oman's most beautiful and well-preserved forts, built in the 17th century. Unlike many defensive forts, it’s known for its beautifully decorated ceilings, carved wooden doors, and painted interiors.

If you’re particularly interested in Omani history or architecture, this can be a worthwhile stop. Personally, I drove past but didn’t go inside, as I wanted to spend more time in Nizwa.
