Best times to eat pintxos (and avoid queues)

Timing makes or breaks the experience

The busiest time for pintxos is 8–9:30pm, especially in the Old Town. This is when queues are longest and space is tight.

For a more relaxed experience, go early (6–7pm) or later after 9:30–10pm. Lunch pintxos are also a great option and far calmer.

Weekends and summer evenings are noticeably busier. If a bar feels uncomfortably packed, skip it and come back later — there’s always another great spot nearby.

👉 This makes a big difference when choosing where to go first.
