Lisbon, Portugal

If you want the best experience at Lisbon’s top food spots, especially tascas, timing is everything.

  • Lunch gets busy from 1–2pm

  • Dinner crowds build from 7:30pm onwards

  • The best local spots are often small and fill up fast

We’ve found the sweet spot is:

  • 12:00–12:30 for lunch

  • 7:00–7:30 for dinner

You’ll avoid long waits, get better service, and have a much more relaxed experience.

Tip: some of the best places in this guide don’t take bookings — going early makes a huge difference.
