Cameron Lake is a picturesque spot located 15 km east of Port Alberni. It's surrounded by Mount Arrowsmith and Mount Wesley, making for some stunning views.

The lake is massive and covers 477 hectares and sits at an elevation of 184 meters above sea level.

Legend has it that there's a mysterious creature lurking in its waters, known as Cammie. Some say it could be a giant trout, a massive eel, or even a huge salamander.

Some also believe there are underwater tunnels that connect Cameron Lake and Horne Lake.

If you are up for an adventure, try out the Cameron Lake Railway Trestles hike to see the lake from above.
