Maso Baseta – a beautifully renovated mountain hut in Trentino

We spent a night at Maso Baseta during a longer hike through the mountains – and honestly, we couldn’t have picked a better place to rest. This charming Malga has been lovingly renovated and still keeps that authentic alpine soul. The moment we arrived, we felt at home.

🍽️ Local food, made with love
Dinner was a real highlight: everything was homemade and full of flavor, with ingredients either grown right there or sourced locally. You can truly taste the care that goes into each dish.

🚗 How to get there
If you’re staying overnight, you can also reach Maso Baseta by car. On weekends, they usually welcome visitors just for food or drinks – but make sure to double-check opening times, as they can vary depending on the season.

🌄 Unforgettable views
The view from the hut? Absolutely stunning. I honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer. The atmosphere, the hospitality, the food – everything was just right. The hosts were incredibly kind, and we left with full hearts (and full stomachs).

Definitely a place I’d love to return to.
