Pitt Street in Sydney, Australia is a bustling street that stretches through the city center from Circular Quay to Waterloo. Known for its pedestrian-only retail hub, Pitt Street Mall, this street is a popular spot for shopping and office spaces. Originally named Pitt Row, it was extended north in 1853. The street used to be one-way but underwent changes over the years. It was also part of the Sydney tram network until 1957. Today, Pitt Street is a vibrant mix of heritage-listed properties, including the iconic Strand Arcade and the Pitt Street Uniting Church. In 2020, a temporary cycleway was installed on Pitt Street, which became permanent in 2021 due to its popularity.
