The Cathedral Rock Trail is a short but steep hike, spanning about 0.75 miles and climbing nearly 300 meters. While it might make you breathe hard at times, it's not like climbing a big mountain. What can be challenging is the terrain, especially the smooth rocks that many people have walked on, making them a bit slippery. The toughest part is a gully in the middle where you have to scramble up some rocks. It's not easy, but it's manageable for most people. However, it's best not to try it if it's raining, snowing, or icy, as it can be dangerous. Once you conquer the tricky parts, the trail gets easier, with some more scrambling over smooth rocks before reaching stairs leading to the top. The views from the summit are breathtaking, especially at sunset, and it's a popular spot for photos. Getting back down is easier than expected, though some parts might require sitting and sliding. Overall, the trail isn't super easy, especially if you're not used to scrambling, but it's doable, especially with a friend to help out.
