Against one might think Stafkirkjan or Stave Church was a gift by Norway in the year 2000 and was not built in early viking times.

Its special look suits the Landlyst Museum. The location of these houses is on the edge of the village and close to the lava field of the last eruption of Eldfjall in 1973. This makes this place even more mystique. Standing there makes you feel like being on the set of a knight movie.
