Svartifoss is a waterfall located in Skaftafell National Park in Iceland. It is known for its unique basalt columns which form a natural amphitheater surrounding it. The columns are hexagonal in shape and are believed to have been formed by cooling lava. The waterfall is approximately 20 meters high and is a popular tourist attraction.

I personally love this waterfall as it is outstanding. The hike up to Svartifoss takes about 30-45 minutes and I would recommend to wear good shoes. In wintertime it is necessary to carry crampons with you as the track can be very icy.
