Kvernufoss is a stunning waterfall located in the south of Iceland. The waterfall is approximately 30 meters high and is fed by the Kverná river. In summertime it is possible to walk behind the waterfall.

In order to get there you need to hike for approx. 20 minutes whereas the hike is not too difficult. The track starts behind Skógarsafn museum at Skógarfoss. The land you are hiking through is the home of numerous elves.
